Nepal, the Himalayan nation bordering India, is making great efforts to boost arrivals from its traditionally-strong tourism generating market – India.
To further highlight this, the country held an event on July 7 in New Delhi, on interaction of Nepal Tourism, organised by the Embassy of Nepal in India in collaboration with the Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI), North Region, whose President, Rajan Sehgal, emphasised that they would do everything possible to see that more and more Indians visit Nepal to see and enjoy the many attractions of the country.
Many speakers at the event spoke of historic ties between the two countries, and of peace in the Himalayan country, after recent events in the news. Nepal was always first in the minds of Indians for going abroad, and the goal is for this to come back again.
Greater synergy between the agents was required, said Swadesh Kumar, President of Adventure Tour Operators of India, saying that members should attend the events of each other’s associations.
A presentation on Nepal Tourism was made on the occasion, where a cultural program was also organized.
